Welcome, welcome to Simply Family Home Evening! We are so happy you're here. This week in Come, Follow Me the lesson title is "The Lord had Called us for to Preach the Gospel" and we are studying Acts 16-21. I'm excited to talk about the lesson this week with my kids. There is a discussion topic about being a missionary now and another about how the scriptures testify of the Savior. I can't think of a better way to invite The Spirit into our homes! Simply Family Home Evening Lesson Plan
The lesson idea we decided to focus on for Family Home Evening this week is:
Preparation: Print out the scriptures and hide them around the room.
Lesson:
Watch the videos; read the scriptures or use a combination of both.

Ask the kids what stories about Jesus are their favorite. Remind them of some you've studied this year if they need help.
Hide some scripture references around the room and have the
kids find them and look them up. Ask them what can they can learn
about Jesus from these scriptures.
(There are quite a few of these. If there are too many for your children to stay interested, save some of them. There is another lesson in about a month that you can use them in.)

Review our missionary lesson May 27-Jun 2. Ask the kids how they have been doing developing their character traits from the badges. If you didn't have an opportunity to do that lesson, now would be a great time! Move onto the next missionary lesson below.

Preparation: Print out these pages from The Friend.

Chapter 61: Paul and Silas in Prison
Read the scriptures; watch the videos or use a combination of both.
Tell your kids that there are some questions they could be asked often on their missions and/or throughout their life by those who don’t
understand or know much about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Use the Friend handout .
Answer as many as you can now, but keep the handout handy so you can discuss
the questions and answers often.
Play scripture would you rather from One She, Two She.
This is seriously the cutest little game and even the younger ones understood the concept.
